I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e44AR as the best receiver for your 2023 Honda Passport. This receiver has a matte black finish which I find gives it a more factory appearance. It also give you the ability to use a Weight Distribution Hitch # FA92-00-0800 to more safely pull heavy trailers.
The 7-Way # CU86FR will connect to the factory wiring on your Honda. An Adapter # PK12716 is needed if you are towing a smaller trailer with a 4-way flat connector. If towing larger trailers the Curt Echo # C79DR will plug in line of the 7-way and allow you to control the trailer brakes from your smart phone using the Curt Echo app.
