Question:

I want to get the Draw-Tite hitch installed on my new 2022 Passport, but I really do not want to have to drill or trim anything to do so. Will this hitch need any of that? And if so, is there a different option that wont? I will also need a wiring harness to go with the hitch. Recommendations for both?

Installing the Draw-Tite # 76290 hitch on your 2022 Honda Passport will require absolutely no drilling or trimming to get it to fit. This hitch is rated 3 out of 10 on our install difficulty scale and really shouldn't take much more than 30 minutes to attach. I included an install video we did with this going on to a 2021 Passport for you to check out as it will be exactly the same on your 2022.

For the wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56291. Not only is this a plug and play option that will take about 25 to 30 minutes to get installed, it also includes all the fuses needed to activate the tow package.

Just a side note, the wiring will store in the trunk/cargo area of your Passport, but if you wanted to mount it outside the vehicle on the hitch, the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 will attach directly to a bracket welded onto the # 76290 hitch (pictured). This makes for an easy mounting place and is how I prefer to run the wire, but if you are fine having it stored, there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing that.
