Question:

I ordered and received Part #8880508,Replacement SpeedKnob and Wedge Assembly for Yakima Bike Racks Order #114967201. I thought there as a new lock and key included in this. Its just a plastic core and fake key. Where can I purchase the core lock and key?

The key that comes with the Yakima Replacement SpeedKnob and Wedge Assembly part # 8880508 is a change key which is used to install a new lock core. So you would want to use it to remove the old lock core from your old assembly (insert it when unlocked and pull out core) and then slide the core into the new wedge with key in and then remove key and you'd be set.

If you do not have a core to install you'd want the part # Y8771-A150 for that and then matching key part # Y8772-A150.
