Hello Good eTrailer People: I am looking for a trailer extender and wonder if you've seen anything like this which extends the hitch and folds in I would be very interested in such product. Please let me know. Kind Regards, eTrailer Customer

While we don't have a trailer tongue extender that folds in like the one you are referring to, there are a couple options that may suit your needs.

You could potentially use a fold-away coupler adapter such as Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit # FHDPW230300. This is designed to be added in between the trailer frame and the coupler so that the tongue can fold in for easy storage. You could technically install this, then use a longer coupler to extend the tongue. Keep in mind, trailer manufacturers build trailers a certain way for a reason, and going this route (extending the coupler length) could cause issues and potentially be dangerous since the tongue would be longer than recommended.

I recommend just adding an extension such as Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # C45048 which slides into your receiver opening and adds length to the hitch itself, not the trailer tongue. Keep in mind, this reduces your trailer hitch capacity by 50%.
