Question:
How can I measure the total weight of my loaded trailer to figure out what the proper tongue weight should be for my loaded trailer?

Hey Howard, the easiest way to determine what your total trailer weight is would be to find a local weigh station to you and just pull the trailer onto the scales. Then you can determine from there with a tongue weight scale like the part # BTBRV004 if your tongue weight is between 10 and 15 percent like it needs to be. Do you have an idea what the trailer weighs?

I only have my trailer’s empty weight. I guess I could get the specified weight of my loaded car and add the two weights for a close total estimated weight.
