Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CE Smith 24 inch long safety chains with the S hooks. Has a 3,500 pound capacity. Now these are required in most states 'cause the safety chain will act as your backup connection if your trailer becomes disconnected from your tow vehicle. Basically on the safety tank chain, you'll attach one end of this zinc coated steel chain to your trailer's coupler, and then you'll hook the S hook to your hitch.
If you notice on the S hook, they have these security spring clips on 'em to prevent accidental unhooking, and we mentioned these are a zinc plated steel. They do resist rust and corrosion. Now this set here is perfect for trailers that are under 3,500 pounds combined gross weight, which means the total of the trailer plus the carry load. The chain length, again, 24 inches long. Now this is a five oh chain size, which means that links have a quarter inch length thickness, and the S hook itself, the inside width on this S hook is three quarters of an inch, but that should do it for a look at the CE Smith 24 inch long safety chains with the S hooks.

Exceeded expectations
