Question:
I have a car mate 7 x 14 tandem work trailer. It has a 2 5/16 ball. I am considering the possibility of switching it over to a pintle hitch system I would need the part that goes on my truck and I would also need the part to replace on the A-frame of my trailer. If you think this is something you can do please send me the links to the parts and I will try to figure this out. Thank you for your time. I am a repeat customer by the way thank you.

Hello David, thanks for reaching out. It is possible to switch your trailer over to a lunette ring/pintle hitch system. Basically you will need to replace your current A-frame coupler with a channel coupler like part # LR76VR. This will allow you to install a lunette ring like part # DM09557-81.
Then for the truck side you will just need a ball mount that accepts a lunette ring. The Curt Pintle Hook # C45908 would work great for that. It has an adjustable height channel and it can work with lunette rings or with a standard 2-5/16" ball coupler.
Take a look at the video I linked.
