Expert Reply:
To add a 7-way connector to your 2020 Ford Escape you have to have a 4-way connector like item # C75CR already installed. There are no custom fit 7-way harnesses for your Escape so you will need to use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.
I have listed some other parts below, along with any installation videos we have, that you will need to tow a trailer with your 2020 Ford Escape:
Trailer Hitch - etrailer Hitch item # e89YR
Brake Controller - Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR and Wiring Harness item # RED69FR
Ball Mount Kit - Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534
