This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.I e-mailed support to verify fit to a 2023 Ford escape PHEV, and they said its an exact fit. I knew from looking at the photos I would have to modify the hitch frame. Using a cut-off disk I removed several inches on the drivers side frame and sacrificed one bolt hole to accomodate a mounted plastic box that Ford installed on part of the frame. I could not locate all of the fasteners for the box so removing some steel was my best option. My hitch will only be used to haul a bike carrier or an aluminum cargo box, so this hitch will do the job. No modifications had to made to the vehicle. Every thing was stock when complete with the hitch install. Photo taken was without the heat shield, the last part to install when the job was done.
The hitch fit perfectly and was easy to install on my 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid. Customer service prior to purchasing was excellent when I had questions. The hitch was delivered on time and in good condition.

Install was straight forward, your videos didn’t miss anything and I was able to install it by myself. I wished I had a helper though! Lol

Was easy to install. Glad that it had fish wires or there would be no way to install the frame bolts. Looks like a factory job...
Putting the trailer together would’ve been a whole lot easier if the instructions that were sent were for this exact trailer. We had to follow the [online] video to do this. As for the materials for the trailer itself, the base looks decent, but the second tier parts, specifically the brackets/plates to connect the tubes, look ridiculous. The quality of these parts don’t belong on a $x,xxx trailer. Etrailer was great to work with and they have no control on the quality of this trailer as it was shipped directly from Malone. With that being said, I would buy from Etrailer again, not sure I’d pay this much for attachments to a trailer from Malone.

The look and ease of installation was awesome. Only draw back I had was I feel like the bolts should of been a little longer. Just a touch. Mime are about flush with the nut. The instructions were detailed and easy to read.
See other reviews. To fit the 2022 escape I had to use a grinding bit to make the holes line up on the frame. It was off on one side about a half inch (the width of one bolt). Haven’t put it to use yet hauling yet but after the hole was drilled in the car frame the hitch went on securely. Definitely not something a novice would have an easy time installing.
The wife and I installed the hitch. The only drawback was the weight. It's not light but then it's well made too. It took us working together to get it installed. I don't think one person could do it. I did use a very small screwdriver to keep the bolt from moving as I attached the nut. that really did help. The videos are a huge help too and thanks for them.
This is my 3rd hitch from e-trailer. Never disappointed. Service is over the top and information plentiful. The videos are priceless making you believe you can do anything.
Install went well. 1/4" die grinder with rotary rasp made quick work of enlarging the forward holes. I used a knife blade to hold the bolts in place while starting the nuts. They kept pushing back up into the frame rail. One incident when I shifted the impact wrench from one hand to the other and accidently reversed it. Shot the bolt and washer back into the frame rail but was able to hook them with a copper wire and pull it back into place. Whew!

Delivery was on time, the item was packed well, everything was as in the package and the installation was exactly as described in the video. I am completely satisfied and will recommend etrailer to anyone look for towing items. I apologize for having no photos but I can assure you that it looks seamless and I can hardly notice that the hitch is there. It's as though it was put on at the Ford factory.
The hitch for my 2020 Escape Hybrid arrived very quickly. After watching the installation video I was confident the install wouldn't be too difficult. It was a piece of cake. The worse part of the job was making the forward most frame holes a little bigger. The fish wires worked great and the fit was spot on. It's a very solid hitch and appears very well made.
Really like how easy it was to install and comes in handy when my family goes on vacation to haul extra supplies.

This worked well on a 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid AWD. The installation videos were very useful and the tips were spot on. I was wary of fishing the bolts into the frame, but it was surprisingly easy. The only tough part of the installation was holding the hitch receiver in place while the nuts were threaded onto the bolts. This was mainly due to the weight of the receiver and the fact that I only had the car raised on jack stands. Can definitely use another pair of hands to hold the hitch receiver in place while the other person screws the nuts on. Good fit otherwise.

Fits perfect and looks great
After 22 days of waiting, emails and phone call I finally received my trailer hitch. Upon receiving, box had big holes punch in it and a some mounting hardware fell out of box and was lost. I've ordered from etrailer before and have received good service, this Wasn't there best customer service.

The hitch has been perfect with no issues. It looks like it came from the factory instead of an after market product. I would certainly purchase it again.
