I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X and am towing a 2017 Jayco Hummingbird 17fd. Am looking for a weight distribution hitch with sway control. Tongue weight probably around 400-450lbs. What would you recommend?

Expert Reply:
For your Jayco Hummingbird 17FD with a 400 to 450 lb tongue weight, I highly recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch # FA92-00-0600.
The hitch is rated for tongue weights between 250 lbs - 600 lbs so it's rated perfectly for you, and there are a number of reasons I really like the Fastway. It has quality sway control, which is created by friction at two points on the brackets to keep your Hummingbird in line, and also the e2 is easier to set up than other systems, especially compared to those that use chains.
The Fastway # FA92-00-0600 is also easily the best value among weight distribution hitches, with a unique combination of relative cost-effectiveness and high quality. As you can see by the hundreds of reviews on the product page, our customers who have used it have given it a nearly 5-star rating.
The only other thing you will need is a hitch ball, with the correct one depending on your trailer's coupler:
- 2" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6080
or
- 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100
