Question:
I am looking at e62TR for my 2017 jeep Cherokee latitude. My goal is to get an ebike rack with a ramp for now and maybe haul a trailer Down the road. Do I need to install the light wiring now or can I do it after the fact? We may end up only using the bike rack for a long while.

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e62TR is an excellent option for a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and a confirmed fit. It provides a 2" opening which is great for towing or hitch mounted accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers. It also offers a completely bolt-on install so no drilling is required.
In regards to a trailer wiring harness like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56208 which is what I recommend. This is only needed when pulling a trailer, it can be added at any time. That said, you'll also need the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches part # C45554 to complete the towing setup.
If you're interested in an e-bike rack, the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes part # TH903202 is one of the best out there with ramp for easy loading, wheels for easy maneuvering, and a folding design for compact storage.
