Question:
I have duel exhaust, i read some stuff on your site about the bag may melt because it is so close to the exhaust? Is this true? Or did you guys mean the stuff inside the bag? Maybe you could make a recommendation. I like the aluminum one because it wont rust, I live in michigan. but I am looking for something for a buick enclave, bag and rack for hitch. Doesnt have to be aluminum I was just thinking about wieght, gas millage etc. I have a family of four who uses suit cases when traveling. Any info would be appreciated.

On any vehicle that has exhaust that exits straight out the back and not out the side or towards the ground could potentially damage a trailer hitch mounted item and its contents.
I believe I have a great solution for you though. To get enough distance from the exhaust you can use multipurpose ball mount # D210 and that will get you plenty far from the exhaust.
For a carrier, if using the multipurpose ball mount, you can use any carrier that fits a 2 inch receiver. The receiver portion of the ball mount has a capacity of 350 pounds so the combined weight of the carrier and the cargo cannot exceed 350 pounds. For an aluminum carrier you can use Curt folding carrier # C18100 or fixed # C18113. These carriers are light weight and corrosion resistant and would fit the 2 inch opening on the multipurpose ball mount. I have linked video reviews of all 3 products for you.
