Checking on hitch for 2025 Sbaru Forester. Which ones work with the rear hatch hands free feature?

Hello Wes,

Great question! The only hitch that we have that will not interfere with the sensor at all for the 2025 Subaru Forester is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 306-X7391. If you go to the product page and it says that it doesn't fit, don't be alarmed I was able to confirm through Torklift's website that it will fit the 2025 and am having our fitguide updated. Now, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13409 will work as well but it might cover part of the sensor, so it would require finding where to kick your foot for that sweet spot. Another thing that I feel is worth mentioning is that the Torklift will also give you an extra 1 1/2" of clearance as well, I included a picture so you can see how close the receiver is to the back bumper.

If you are looking to for some wiring for some light towing of a hitch mounted accessory the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56040 would be a great fit, and don't forget a # 18144 for a clean looking install.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you looking to use the hitch for?

Yeah, the kick sensor does not fit on a 2025 forester with kick sensor, unless modified in some fashion, tech support was absolutely no help at all, very dissatisfied with your support line, please research the issue

@Jn Thanks for verifying. I wasn't able to find an order under your email, that is why I asked. I am going to reach out to EcoHitch the manufacturer about this issue, I will definitely let you know what I find out. When you called for support did you reach out to us at etrailer.com or to EcoHitch directly? Sorry for the 20 questions, I usually get great feedback about our customer service. I am trying to resolve the issue =)
