Very convenient to use. Performing just as advertised

Speedy delivery have an open the box but seems OK

by:

Build very well, very happy with it.

by:

My product arrived in a box that was tore in a number of places and dented and scratched.

by:

Great product..well made..package was a little beat up that seems to have left a small dent in the tubing nothing very noticeable. I have dealt with etrailer before and everytime I am not disappointed..

by:

Works great! I use it to transport mowers for residential landscape maintenance. The ramp is a welcome feature. This carrier has held up to daily use.

by:

Your hitch was the best for us. My wife uses it to haul a heavy Paleta cart for fund raising! Thank you!!

by:

I bought this hitch carrier after owning a steel version for several years to transport a snow blower during the winter months in NH. That version rusted out in a few years and is a shell of itself. So far the aluminum carrier has held up very well. Noticeably better construction as well. Worth the extra money IMHO.

Short version: Best thing since sliced bread.

Long
version: This thing was designed by somebody that knew what they were doing. The instructions were clear, accurate, and easy to follow. Pictures showed appropriate detail. Assembly was easy. Materials are sturdy and of high quality.
I purchased this to carry a generator on the back of my RV. But I also wanted to be able to use it on my F150 to carry whatever. I didn't want to have to lift a 100 pound generator, or anything else, as I have back issues. I also didn't want the carrier to be excessively heavy. Being able to fold it up when not in use was also a necessity. This carrier does it all.
Once assembled, I installed it on my F150 and put it into all possible positions. It was extremely easy to mount and moved easily from one position to another. It is so cool to have the ramp to load things on to the carrier. This is my first purchase from this manufacturer, Curt, and supplier, eTrailer. It arroved promptly and in good condition. I will be putting both of these companies on the top of my list for future purchases.

by:

Heavy duty. Took approximately 1/2 hour to assemble.
Like it so far.

by:

Easy to assemble easy to install. One hint get a small furniture dolly to move it around with. Works great and easy.

by:

Pros and cons with this cargo carrier, but the cons outweigh the pros.

PRO: good size for a wheelchair. Room to get to the rear doors when the carrier is down. Carrier folds up.

CON: too few anchors for tying down cargo (*way* too few). The pin that holds the carrier in place upright against the back gets harder and harder to put in. Carry something metal on it and it can cut into the carrier (like a 2 wheeler). Black surface chips easily. wobbly. The ramp when folded upright can unlatch easily and open up while driving (like if you hit a pothole; we added bungees to keep it in place). Steep ramp. Folded up it blocks the licence plate from view.

by:

Assembled and installed in an hour. Excellent instructions. This is not a toy. It is heavy duty. Needed to get a 250 lb. 28-inch snow thrower 35 miles on the highway. With the ramp, job done with ease. See images.

  • Recommended Aluminum Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier for Corrosion Resistance
We have one aluminum folding option for you and it is the 19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs # C18100. This carrier is well made and will store close to your vehicle when not in use. We have another aluminum option also rated for 500 lbs capacity but it doesn't have the folding option. It's the Flint Hill Goods 29" x 49" Carrier w/ 60" Ramp - 2" Hitch - 500 lbs # FHG69ZR.

  • Carrier For an Electric 3 Wheeler To Be Carried Behind a RV Motorhome
The Flint Hill Goods 29" x 49" Carrier # FHG69ZR is going to be our best option Tassa. This carrier fits into a 2" receiver and has a 47" by 27-1/2" inner tray area for the three wheeler to sit. It also has a 60" ramp to make loading the bike much easier so you will not have to lift it into position. If that is not long enough for your electric three wheeler you would need to look a longer carrier like the Curt # C18100 which is 60" long.

  • Trailer Hitch and Lightweight Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2020 Toyota Highlander LE
The best combination for you to carry a lightweight cargo carrier behind your 2020 Toyota Highlander is the Curt Trailer Hitch # C99FR and the 22-1/2x49 Curt Cargo Carrier, Item # C18113. Both of these have a 500 lb tongue weight rating which look to match up with the max rating of your vehicle - you will want to double check this in your owner's manual though just to be on the safe side. The Curt hitch features a hidden crosstube so all you're going to see is the receiver. This means...

  • Lightweight Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2019 Tesla Model X
The Curt cargo carrier part # C18100 is a lighter weight carrier due to it being made mostly out of aluminum. For a lighter weight option for your 2019 Tesla Model X with a hitch like the Draw Tite part # 76143 installed this would be a really great option. It weight just under 30 lbs. For a hitch lock that doubles as an anti-rattle device the part # 63232 would be a great option as well. This holds the shank of the carrier to the hitch tube so that movement and noise is removed. • Can I Carry A Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Or Cargo Carrier With My 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Great news! We do offer a a hitch for your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. I recommend the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch part # C13383 because the 2" hitch will be the most versatile when it comes to accessories like bike racks. There are more options to fit the 2" hitch compared to the 1-1/4" hitch. The Curt 2" hitch is a glossy black powder no drill-installation hitch that can handle up to 400 lbs of tongue weight. If you prefer a matte black option for a more rugged look,...

  • Best Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier For Offoad Trip
Hello Sandy, thanks for reaching out. We do have cargo carrier options that can go offroad. For that you will just want to avoid any of the folding carriers, since the folding portion would be a weak point. A fixed carrier will be much better for offroad. For that, I recommend the Reese 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier # 63153. This will work with any 2" hitch, and it has a 500 lb capacity. In order to use a cargo carrier on a 2005 Lexus RX 330 you'd need to start with a trailer hitch, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98857 is what I recommend. In comparison to the other options, this one has a matte finish which better blends in with the vehicle. The 60x19 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18100 would then work well for this setup. For that, check out the Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs # C18100. This measures 19"x60", so it is a little smaller, but is quite a bit lighter at 29 pounds (the etrailer cargo carrier is 48 pounds). You are correct there is a weight advantage for aluminum, item # C18100, over steel, item # CC-100, but the biggest reason aluminum is considered over steel, for most of our customers, is corrosion resistance and appearance.
