Lightweight, sturdy, easy to connect, secure. Everything we wanted in a cargo carrier.
I am a 59 year old women and recently widowed. This cargo carrier is light enough for me to carry from the house where I installed in my living room. I traveled with it but did not end up loading anything in it yet. I did not hear it rattle and it cleared my driveway.
Cargo carrier looks great and is pretty light. Only knock on it is that the hardware to bolt it together did not arrive in the package. I’ll have to go to the hardware store and find some bolts.

This cargo carrier is perfect for people who have to install it alone. It's very light weight and sturdy. It appears well constructed, aside from the reflectors that are bound to fall off. One reflector fell off straight out of the box due to plastic being attached to the sticky back of it, causing it to not stick. Some reflective tape will fix that very small issue for me. There is a little bit of sway to it, so I'll be buying a hitch tightener. The slats will make it much easier to clean, and it looks nice on my 2018 Outback. There is a lack of attachment points for tie down, other than the wide slats. If you're using rope instead of bungees, this shouldn't be an issue. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality and weight of this carrier.
Sturdy. Well constructed. Fits my lifted jeep wrangler even with larger rear spare.
Allen - 09/30/2021Should have bought this a long time ago. I've been carrying a huge cooler when we go camping for the last 10 years. This item gave me my trunk back. Assembly is stupid simple. Quality so far seems good. As a welder, I can be super critical of any welds on consumer equipment. These are better than I've seen from my buddy's UWS carrier that costs a lot more. My unit came with the eyelets that others were missing.
It seems sturdy, but the sticker was on upside down, and one of the reflectors was stuck on in completely the wrong spot, which we had to rectify. The company who made this must have a very sloppy worker! Hopefully there won't be other, hidden, defects and it will function well.
Prompt delivery. Easy assembly. Haven’t used it yet, but I am very satisfied with it.
The carrier is perfect! Solid as can be. Shout out to the guy that knows how to read a Tape there. This was purchased specifically knowing I had 1/16th of an inch to play with.

So glad I researched carriers and found this one. Meets my needs exactly. Best features for me by far is its simplicity in construction, obvious strength/rigidity, with very high quality welds throught. Zero screws/bolts to rattle loose or catch on things. Buying on line can leads to some small 'dissapointments' however I am over the moon with this purchase.
Excellent product delivered on time. Appears to be very strong and well made, and was easy to assemble. I chose this model because it is just the right size and weight, as opposed to the others that are 60" in length. .

Don M - 08/03/2021Item arrived very quickly in good condition. It is packaged very well with extra protection for the corners. It literally is a piece of cake to assemble, just lay the basket upside down and place the hitch part on top. Slip in the 4 bolts and tighten...done! Haven’t used it yet seems very sturdy, very well built, and is light enough to easily hang it on a wall over your head. I looked at hitch hauls for weeks before finally finding and settling on this one and I’m very happy with this carrier. I definitely recommend this Curt cargo carrier.
This cargo carrier is solid, more solid than most aluminum carriers. Only four bolts to assemble - took less than 5 minutes. The shank pin-to-pin distance is 6" which is better than the longer distance on some carriers - keeps the weight closer to the car. High quality powder coat.
It has been working great. Got for a trip to Mt Rushmore for a family vacation. Added much needed packing space. Would definitely recommend it.

Fit perfect on the back of my 2019 GX460 while still allowing the swing door to open. Just make sure you get the etrailer anti-rattle hitch stabilizer. I also added reflective tape to the sides since it only has reflectors on the back. Easy to carry and install due to the light weight.
The cargo basket is lightweight, good quality and mounted on the hitch easily. This is the nicest quality cargo basket I saw, especially in its price range. We wanted to create extra space inside the Jeep when camping and traveling. We recently used it to travel with our coolers and it was incredibly easy and convenient. Solid welded construction with great protective finish
Light weight, simple to assemble, perfect size (length and width). Due to its light weight there was no drag on the vehicle while driving. A couple of small nits in that the tray could be a little deeper and the carrier is not designed to connect a light package, but it was just right for our one-car, long weekend trip with the inlaws.
Superb quality and ease of assembly! Very solid construction, much superior to our lesser-expensive one from years ago. Worth every penny for such a durable carrier. Very happy with the carrier. It fits well on the Jeep and is high enough not to be affected by the dual exhaust pipes. I especially like how light and manageable it is to install and remove. It looks great on the Jeep with the black powder coating.
Carrier arrived on time and in good condition. Will be used to expand storage capacity of our small motor home.
