Helpful Expert Reply:
For your Rockwood Mini Lite with a 6,800 lb GVWR, your loaded tongue weight is going to be in the 850 lb to 900 lb range, and the weight distribution hitch with sway control I highly recommend is from Blue Ox:
- Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU87FR
The TrackPro # BLU87FR is for loaded tongue weights between 800 lbs and 1,000 lbs, so it's perfectly rated for your trailer. I really like this system for a number of reasons, starting with its sway control, which is superior to many set ups due to the fact it prevents sway at two points on the hitch - the hitch head and brackets - compared to other systems that just offer sway control at the brackets.
So you'll get a more controlled ride with the TrackPro, and along with that, it is also the easiest system to set up. It uses brackets that just clamp on so you don't have to drill into your trailer frame, and a hitch head that you don't have to adjust after the initial set up; this is far more convenient than the majority of systems that require continual adjustment of the hitch head. It also comes with everything you need for installation, including a 2-5/16" hitch ball, so you don't have to purchase the ball separately like you do with most systems.
