Question:

I have a hitch installed on my Lexus rx350 l but it didn’t come with the tow package. What can I do to get lights on my trailer is there package I can buy that would work with this setup ?

To add a wiring harness to your 2022 Lexus RX 350L you will need the Tekonsha Upgraded Modulite Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit w/ 4-Pole Trailer Connector and Installation Kit item # C59236. This is the only wiring harness available for your Lexus since it does not have the tow package. It works with either LED or incandescent bulbs on both the trailer and vehicle. The taillight circuit has been upgraded to work with vehicles using PWM, allowing converter to turn on fully giving trailer maximum light brightness.

To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.

Similar to the question Sarah asked in this thread, I had a hitch installed on my 2022 Lexus RX350 (without the factory towing package) and the lights don’t work. The trailer installation business told me that I had to go to a Lexus dealer to have it programmed. However, I’ve spoken with a few Lexus service advisors and each told me they don’t know how to help me. You referenced the Tekonsha Upgraded Modulite Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit w/ 4-Pole Trailer Connector and Installation Kit item # C59236 to solve Sarah’s issue, but this part number doesn’t show it works on the 2022 RX350 (Sarah’s is an RX350L). Will the C59236 work for me? If not, what do you recommend?

@James No, it won't. For your 2022 Lexus RX350 without the factory towing package you'll need the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring item # 119250KIT. This wiring kit uses clamps to attach to your factory wires. These clamps do not cut into the wires but sense the signal being sent through them and transfers it to your trailer lights.
