Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring Harness Fit For a 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge

Hi! I see that this hitch fits my vehicle but the installation video shows an xc60 with visible pipes. Does the new design with hidden pipes change the installation/applicability of this instructional video? Does the bumper need to be cut? Does anything secure the loose part of the bumper? Thank you!

The installation for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C92WR on your 2022 Volvo XC 60 Recharge will be the same as the 2021. The exhaust is in the same location they simply use a turn down exhaust tip versus the rear exit. The bumper fascia and heat shield will still need to be trimmed just like in the video and the rear fascia will still have the support of the fasteners on either side to hold it in place.
I recommend installing the Wiring Harness # C59236 when you install the receiver. It will be far easier to route the wiring while you already have the receiver removed.
