With a 4,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 400-lb tongue weight rating, this hitch handles most light-duty towing and hitch-mounted accessories. If you like your vehicle’s lines clean, the concealed main body keeps the hitch tucked behind the bumper so only the receiver is visible. The square-tube design gives it a solid presence without sticking out under the rear fascia. Once installed, it looks like something built into the vehicle from the start rather than an add-on.
The hitch is precision welded for strength and coated inside and out for corrosion resistance. A gloss black powder coat over a rust-resistant liquid A-coat keeps moisture and road salt from breaking it down. 2022 Volvo XC60. Rated by etrailer as a 10/10 install. Watched their install video before and entire install took me 35 minutes start to finish. If you're moderately skilled mechanically, it was a very easy job! Fast shipping and excellent communication throughout the order/delivery process.

This Hitch Receiver arrived safely and undamaged. It was packaged in a large cardboard box that also contained a smaller box containing the wiring kit ordered at the same time. Both will be installed later this week by a local trailer service company. Although there were a couple puncture holes in the large box hitch box, the hitch was in perfect condition.
FYI,the T-Connector box had been stapled to the inside of the hitch box. This smaller box was found loose inside the big box, having broken free from the staples during shipment.

Very solid and looks good tucked under the bumper.
Don’t bother drilling through the bumper as there is an Accessibility issue for the bolts that come with the hitch. It will be extremely difficult and most likely impossible to tighten the bolts. Just use the 3 attachment points on each side that use the nuts.

Very sturdy and well-made Curt brand Trailer Hitch. Somewhat easy to self-install. I was quoted $1,000.00 for purchase and installation by a specialty automotive retailer that specializes in vehicle outfitting, roof racks, bike racks, cargo boxes, trailer hitches, etc. I purchased this hitch with free shipping from etrailer for $250.00 and installed it myself using their installation videos on the etrailer website. I saved $750.00

This hitch installed easily, fit perfectly, and most important to me did not require any body or surrounding shield modifications.
Install was easy on our 2024 XC60 Recharge, although putting the rear bumper cover back on was definitely a two person job. I did some very minor trimming of the heat shield to prevent it from rubbing on the rear of the hitch. The rear hatch foot sensor still works with no issues after installing the hitch.
Hitch was just as described. Used the video on the website to install. With help from my wife project was complete in one and a half hours. Looks very discreet and works perfectly with my Yakima bike rack. Ordered on Friday, delivered on Saturday, installed on Sunday (Mother's Day).

This is easier to install than it looks even in the videos they provide.
Fastest and easiest: 1/2" impact with a 6" extension and a 15mm impact socket, and a T25 bit in a ratcheting wrench. Borrow a torque wrench.
Can totally be done with a 3/8" ratchet and the same extension and a standard long 15mm socket, and also a T25 bit for any size ratchet.
Could even be done with a 15mm ratcheting wrench, assuming the nuts aren't seized on.
If you have basic tools, two thumbs, knees that don't imminently require surgery, and a functioning mind, you'll have no problem with this.
Hitch receiver arrived on time. With the help of the installation video, I installed the hitch receiver in an hour the evening of delivery. Excellent shipping, installation guidance and design of the hitch receiver.

Trailer was installed by A and B Trailer in Stallings NC. It looks great. My Kuat bike rack works great with it. Much easier to install and remove the safety pin compared to my Tesla. I'm very happy with my new hitch!
