I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36RR for your 2018 Ford Edge SEL. This receiver has a hidden cross tube giving you a more OEM look. The matte black finish of the receiver will also match better with the rear bumper fascia being the same matte finish.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118669 will give you a 4-way flat connector that is needed for most small trailers. The Mounting Bracket # C58001 will secure the connector where it is easily accessible on the receiver with no drilling needed. The Auxiliary Lights # C53201 will provide additional lighting to any hitch mounted accessory you may carry that impairs the view of your tail lights.
If you are pulling a larger trailer that has electric brakes a Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 will be needed with the T-One # 118669 mentioned above. This will allow you to mount a Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller # RED24FR with the Universal Harness # RED69FR in your Edge. You will need the Mounting Bracket # C58000 if you want to have a no drill mount with the 7-way.
