2001 Ford F-350 Dually Suspension Enhancement for Gooseneck Hitch and Overload Spring

Updated 04/14/2022 | Published 04/13/2022

Question:

I have a 2001 F350 DRW dually with the v10 gas engine and 8 bed. It is a 2WD with a gooseneck hitch. It also has the overload spring. I am looking for the right air bag kit to fit on my truck. Thank you.

Thank you for all of the info and the photos! The gooseneck brackets you have on your 2001 Ford F-350 look similar to the Reese style 5th wheel hitch brackets but I think we need to look at a different suspension enhancement system as it doesn't look like the brackets from any of the air spring kits we offer will match up or work around the brackets on your truck.

I recommend going with the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-114-54 for your application for a few reasons; once you install them you don't have to perform any maintenance, these are more forgiving than the Timbren alternatives so you still get a nice ride quality, and these are just as effective as air springs - they just don't come with the adjustability.

Attached is an installation video of this kit on a 2008 F-350 Dually for you to check out.
