Just like the description.... looks good and fit like a glove

installed in minutes, had to use a u joint to torque the bolts to the back of truck, can only see the square

2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Great hitch, well made. Fit perfectly on 2002 F250 super duty. 20 minutes to install - took longer to remove the old one as was loctitied and had to heat the nuts to remove. Prompt delivery and service. Would recommend e trailer.

by:

At first I thought I had received the wrong hitch but after "reading the instructions" I realized it would work just fine. Etrailer.com got it to me as fast as they could. When there was a problem with our address in their computer (we live in a REALLY small town ) they made a phone call and handled it personally. We couldn't be more pleased with the product or their service.

1999 Ford F-150 and F-250 Light Duty

I saved over $200.00 installing my receiverhitch myself. It took my son and I only nine minutes to install the hitch. Etrailer is by far the greatest value and the quality is second to none. I highly reccomend their services to anyone in need of a receiver hitch or any of their other fine products. Thanks etrailer.com you made a customer for life.

by:

Well built USA made. 30minute install by myself. Drop the spare. I used a couple 5 gallon buckets to raise it up and hold it enough to get the first nuts on by hand. Snug fit, had to bump it a bit to get all the nuts on but no problem. Use a 3/4" socket on ratchet or air wrench to pull it up tight. Torque nuts. Done. Dont forget to take off your bumper mounted ball first or you'll have to drop the hitch to get it off. Directions are very complete. Custom fit.

2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Good quality receiver, I bought this for my 2003 f-250 because the factory receiver was only rated @ 5000/500, which I thought was odd for a super duty truck. The factory unit was secured to the frame with eight grade 3, 5/8" bolts, the new one was secured with six grade 5, 1/2" bolts. The factory unit was just as well built as the new one but only had only half the weight rating and it had two more bolts, I don't know how they come up weight ratings but I needed 10k so its on there now. If you have a air impact gun and someone to help lower the old one and raise the new one takes about 1/2 hour to R&R.

Purchased for a 1997 Ford F250. Installation was easy heavy duty works great for motorcycle carrier. Great price.

Everything about my trailer hitch receiver installation was great. Hitch King of Key West(Stock Island) recommended I use your website. I ordered it using your site and providing year, make and model of my truck. You shipped on the same day and I received it on the expected day. The communications from your site kept me informed on the shipment. I took it to Hitch King and they installed it in less than an hour. I love it. Thanks.

by:

The hitch was reasonably priced, shipped quickly and the product installed without any surprises. I have used it many times throughout the past year with no issues. The quality of the hitch was excellent. I would recommend etrailer to anyone looking for a new hitch

2001 Ford F-150

Product as described. Easy installation, the install video made it simple to put on my 2001 F150. Very satisfied.

by:

This was probably the easiest install of anything I have added to this truck and everything fit perfect done in 15 minutes by myself! longest time was getting the spare tire out of the way. This truck normally pulls a gooseneck which was a more difficult install but still not too bad. Need to pull a car trailer and this works perfectly. I am very happy with the fit, finish, and weld quality of this receiver hitch

by:

THE PRODUCT WAS THE BEST. EASY INSTALL. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

DONT LOOK ANY FURTHER FOR YOU TOWING NEEDS.

by:

I called trailer and spoke to William S he was extremely helpful and very courteous. The hitch arrived when he said it would and bolted right up without any issues. I would definitely recommend trailer from my experience

by:

I ordered this hitch to replace mine which had started to rust through and I was concerned it would fail. The other reviews on this hitch indicated it would fit perfectly on my 2004 F250. They were correct, not a single issue! I installed it by myself but it would be much easier with a second set of hands. I don’t have anything to tow yet but I’ll be ready when the time comes.

No issues with the trailer hitch. I’ve towed a trailer and a wood splitter so far.

by:
2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Got this to replace the rusted out hitch on my 05 f250. Wicked good quality, and a class size up from the factory hitch. Had to remove the spare tire heat shield for the holes to line up on the passenger frame rail, off by about 1/2". No big deal, as I don't keep the tire under there. Many happy towing miles ahead.

by:

Tight fit and easy to install. (HINT: get someone to help lift into place or set it on a storage tub and slide it under the frame. Also lower and remove the spare tire). Takes 6 bolts and done!

2003 Ford F-150

Great customer service and prices. Ordered a hitch that was back ordered. Adam called me several times to let me know the status and offered me options. The hitch came a day earlier than promised. Perfect fit for my 2003 F150 morning extended cab. Didn’t have to take the spare tire down. The whole mounting process took less than 30 min. Solid hitch with good welds.

2006 Ford F-250-and-F-350-Super-Duty

The Hitch was what I was looking for to fit under the Ranch Hand Bumper. If you are installing this on a truck that has a Ranch Hand Bumper, you will also need to order the BROPHY (code: BM20), Ball Mount, 13 1/4" long, to get the ball out from under the bumper.

I did have a few issues installing the Hitch, I believe that the hitch was damaged during shipping. The shipping packaging was damaged and UPS stated that it would not stay in the box during his route. The issues was that the left two blot holes would not line-up for the bolts. With the help of a five foot pipe was able to line it up.

Over all, I'm happy with the hitch.

This hitch was exactly what I needed to upgrade from a 5k towing capacity to a 9k. My Brother and I, we got it into place and secured it.

I’m going to tow a 7500lb camper with a 7.3l Ford diesel Powerstroke. I bought this hitch for a reason and I believe in this company.

  • Trailer Hitch for 2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew that Allows Spare to be Kept Under Vehicle
As long as the spare tire on your 2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew is less than 20 inch in wheel diameter we have the Curt hitch part # C14355 as a fit that will allow you to keep the spare. The spare would need to be lowered for the install of the hitch but after that you will be able to reinstall it. The Curt hitch you referenced is a universal style hitch that we couldn't guarantee would fit your truck or work with the spare.

  • Recommended Hitches for a 2001 Ford F-150 and a 1993 Ford F-150
No, sorry William those hitches will not be compatible. The 1993 Ford F-150 was part of the 9th generation which spanned from 1992–1997. The 2001 was part of the 10th generation that went from 1997–2004. Ford made some major changes between those two generations. Those trucks went from being big, square, and boxy to narrow and round. Completely different frames and rear ends so nothing carried over. For a 1993 Ford F-150, we've got two options depending on what bumper you have. For a Deepdrop...

The deepest drop custom hitch we offer for that truck is the B&W # BWHDRH25187 which has a 6-1/2 inch drop. The drop is the vertical distance between the underside of the frame member and the underside of the bumper. If this distance on your truck is less than 6-1/2 inches, then the # BWHDRH25187 would be a fit. If that amount of drop isn't sufficient, you...

If you note in the attached photo I show that the oblong holes range from about 32-1/8" at the closest part to about 35" at the the furthest part. • Vehicle Fits for Reese Hitch 89002 and Correct Hitch for 2003 Ford F-150
My contact at Reese confirmed that the part 89002 is a ball mount made for a 2-1/2 x 3/4-inch rectangular hitch opening that was for applications only on 1984 through 1995 Chrysler and Dodge minivans. This item fits no Fords at all. For the 2003 Ford F-150 we offer both rear-mount hitches and front-mount hitches, each shown on their own respective linked pages.
