Question:

Have a 2016 Jeep Renegade 75th Anniversary Edition. I want to install to front and back tow hooks. Jeep is telling me that the mounting hardware for tow hooks does not exist on my model and that I have to punch a hole in the bumper to install a hitch. Frankly I dont have a lot of confidence in what these guys are saying. Your website lists aftermarket hitch that mounts below the bumper. Do you have recommendations on part numbers that will work for my Jeep. I want to know all parts that I need. My vin is XXX Thanks in advance.

I can definitely help you out with a trailer hitch for your 2016 Jeep Renegade but when it comes to adding tow hooks I would have to defer to a dealership since we don't carry or install those. From what I can see it does look like the rear tow hook sticks through the bumper and some OEM hitches will fit through the bumper as well which is likely why you are getting that response.

For a trailer hitch we have 2 options and it all just depends on what you're looking to get out of a trailer hitch. The EcoHitch # EH83VR is what I recommend going with because the crosstube is hidden so the design looks a bit more sleek. The only downside to this is having to trim the rear bumper fascia due to the location of the receiver.

If you want to avoid trimming your fascia check out the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13269. This has a crosstube that sits below your rear bumper fascia so you won't have to trim anything, but it does reduce your ground clearance some and it doesn't look as nice.
