This hitch is built for the everyday stuff—small trailers, utility hauls, and bike racks. With a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening, 3,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight, and 350 lbs maximum tongue weight, it’s ready for light to moderate towing. You don’t need welding or special tools to get this hitch mounted. It’s a custom fit with holes that line up right where they need to, and it bolts straight to the frame using the included hardware kit. Overall fine, match up was a little off. From what i could tell it was due to welding and forming of the part. I work in the metal industry and it does not take much for weldments to be off. I had to do a little tweeking on the mount arms but once i did this things lined up and bolted together.

We really like all the products we have ordered from etrailer!! This time was our second time buying a Trailer Hitch! Easy to install and everything is included to install it! The only thing we would say is that the packaging was horrible! It looked like our Hitch had gone to war before arriving at our door! Thankfully all was ok inside the cardboard that was left taped onto the hitch.
Shipping was super quick! I received it on a Friday and had it installed the next morning. My father and I spent about 3 hours to get it installed with no lift and minimal power tools. Hitch was designed perfect and fits nice and tight under the bumper and it's heavy duty! Works great with my bike rack. Great product and will purchase from etrailer again!
The description of the product and instructions need to be changed.
Holes that the hardware goes into need to be larger. Some are in difficult locations.
Not an easy installation and I have installed a number of hitches.

The installation instructions linked on the product page do state that several of the attachment holes need to be enlarged so that the hardware can be fished through.
It's good. Installed myself with floor jack and 2x4. Hardest part is swapping the fish wires with the mounting nuts. I ended up using a small vice grip on the bolt shaft to lock it in place, as I didn't want to rely on using the weight of the hitch as the installation video suggests. Losing the bolt would be a start over. Pretty simple to lift into place. turn a bit, lift.. reposition, twist, lift, repeat until it's close enough to draw up with fish wires. No need to remove anything.
I'm very happy with this Curt hitch. It's my second one, actually. First was on my old PT Cruiser; and now this one on my Jeep Renegade. It's strong, paint is holding up well, perfect to mount my bike rack. My mechanic did the install of the hitch on the car, and it went very smoothly ... exactly as per what was shown in one of the Curt installation videos. I'm a happy customer. Recommended to all!

1 year later, and still going strong. Rigid, durable. A tiny bit of surface oxidation around the hitch-to-frame welds, but nothing out of the norm. Im still a two-time happy Curt customer!
I put my trailer hitch to work as soon as I had it installed. It does a good job hauling for me. Very sturdy and looks good too. I recommend this product for anyone looking for a trailer hitch.
