Worried about your Jeep Renegade losing its stylish look with a bulky hitch? The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver features an innovative cross tube that installs discreetly behind your vehicle’s bumper, showcasing only the sleek receiver beneath. This ensures your vehicle retains its like-new appearance, blending functionality with aesthetics. With a 2-inch receiver size, this hitch fits snugly into your vehicle’s design without compromising on looks.
Being eco-conscious has never been easier with the EcoHitch’s eco-friendly materials. Constructed from a unique metal alloy made of recycled aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, this hitch is durable and sustainable. It’s a choice that benefits both you and the planet, ensuring harmful emissions are minimized during its production. The black powder coat finish further enhances its resistance to rust, offering lasting protection against the elements.
Tired of complicated installations that require extensive toolkits or professional help? The EcoHitch makes installation a breeze with its 100% bolt-on design, eliminating the need for drilling or welding. This saves time and effort, allowing for a secure fitment directly onto your vehicle's frame. The precision engineering ensures you enjoy a hassle-free DIY installation experience, getting you on the road faster.
Concerned about hitches that reduce ground clearance? The EcoHitch sits higher than typical options, providing approximately 13.5 inches of clearance from the ground to the top of the receiver. This design effectively prevents dragging, even when towing or hauling, letting you drive confidently over speed bumps or uneven terrains without compromising your vehicle's performance.
Safety is paramount when towing, and the EcoHitch doesn’t compromise. It meets the stringent SAE J684 safety regulations, ensuring it can handle a robust 3,500 lbs gross trailer weight and 525 lbs tongue weight. This ensures you tow safely, whether you're heading out with a cargo carrier or hauling bikes for your next adventure, while also adhering to national safety standards.
Don’t want to alter your vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency with roof racks? The concealed design of the EcoHitch allows you to maintain your vehicle’s sleek lines and efficient aerodynamics by avoiding overhead storage solutions. This hitch combines functionality with smart design, making it perfect for those who want effective space utilization without sacrificing car aesthetics.

Outstanding fit and quality. Video on install was spot on and helpful. Love the finished look, highly recommend this item. All necessary hardware included. I did buy some new plastic trim fasteners for the wheel well trim as a couple broke during removal, recommend getting some prior to installation. Trim removal tools are a big help during disassembly.
If you have a Trail Hawk trim the install will be different from the video. At least is was for my 2017 Renegade. The bumper rail was held in by two nuts at each end rather than three, and also on each end, three large bolts into the frame tube, one on the bottom, two on the side. The frame had the third hole (so no drilling was required) and it was a threaded hole. Only after removing all the bolts and nuts and removing the bumper rail did we realize we didn't need to remove it at all since we didn't need to thread new bolts through the frame. Nice looking install once done but it took much longer than it should have mostly due to us not having the right tools but also figuring out the different install.
Had a few challenges with the install mainly due to unclear details in the instructions (regarding folding down tabs on the hitch itself.
Solid product. Good welds heavy gauge steel. Fit was perfect. I would use the online video library instead of the manual that comes with the hitch. The manual does have a hardware inventory list.
It looks perfect and I had no issues doing the install. If your Jeep has fender flairs order a body panel mounting clip kit from amazon. These will break.

Although it pains me to hear you ordered something from the online jungle, that is some great advice. Thank you for the feedback! I am glad everything went smoothly.
The hitch is the best upgrade I've done to my jeep renegade. It maximizes its usability. It's holding up really well - no issues.
I installed it in an afternoon with the help of a friend. I can't remember any difficulties. I think there may have been one thing we were struggling with but I can't remember what it was. We eventually figured it out, though.
But yeah, love the hitch. Glad I chose etrailer.
Took less then 2 hours to install on my jeep renegade 2015 latitude. We ended up buying a pop up camper which I why we needed this and it worked out great. I got the wiring kit with this from e trailer. I highly recommend

Im so happy to hear that, Taylor! We would love to see photos of you guys adventuring with the camper if you feel like sending any in!
Great Hitch. The closest match I could find to the factory install. Others are mounted too low under the vehicle. The Ecohitch fits snug to the body frame making it concealed under the rear bumper. Great look !!!
My only complaint is that it arrives marred up from shipping to etrailer before they ship it to you. However, they did give me a paint credit of xx bucks to buy some spray paint to cover the spots. So with some elbow grease and 24 hours of dry time, you have a great hitch to install. Thanks, etrailer for your product, it saved me from paying big bucks for the factory hitch.
Shipping was fantastically fast and it arrived in good shape. I was going to install it myself, but the rain and the lack of a life made me choose professional installation. I thought the video was straightforward, but the installation guy didn't want to take the time to watch it. Either way, the installation went well and it looks fabulous!
I was so happy to find this as I didn't want a normal hitch and didn't want the hassle of installing an in-bumper kit. I'm a happy camper!
Shipped in perfect condition. Install took longer as video provided shows 6 pre drilled holes but my 2015 latitude did not. Otherwise fits well and did not affect clearance.

I reached out to the manufacturer and there are some Jeep Renegades where you will have to drilled two holes. It is mentioned in the instructions under 9B.
Video helps alot. Second person to help would be ideal but managed to install by myself. Looks nice.
Perfect fit for my 2016 Jeep Renegade! Definitely not a simple thing to install, luckily the husband owns a battery shop with a car lift on it so that made it a little easier on him to install it. Excited to haul our E-Bikes around now for more adventures!
2016 Jeep Renegade Limited. Pretty solid product and no hard to install even that in mine I have to drill one hole in each side. Recommended
has better ground clearance and weight ratings than most others.
The EcoHitch Receiver did not go on my '17 Renegade without a 'hitch'. However, my bad for not seeing Ryan's video on this sooner to alleviate some of my distress for my model Jeep not having the third hole in the frame. My distress was not having to drill the hole but rather which bolts to use. As it turned out, I was missing a plate washer. etrailer supplied that speedily with no hassle. The hitch installed perfectly and easier than I thought possible. Thanks to Wayne, George and Carol for helping me! Great service and product. Oh to follow up, I had zero issues towing a loaded trailer 500 miles.
The hitch was as described and the installation was pretty simple from the youtube video. I installed the tow hitch with minimal issues. Thank you
Looks very beefy, shipping was very fast. Have not installed yet
This was hard to put on by myself but so worth it. Other videos of trailer hitches needing holes cut and this one not was huge! I will advise that cutting the bumper where it looks like there is a seam would be recommended. I tried installing it without cutting the bumper and that was a TON of time wasted! Just cut the bumper, you won't even notice it gone FR!

Absolutely love this hitch. Pull our JetSki and haul our bikes and it is great. Very durable and can’t tell it’s there when not using. So much better than the low hanging hitches we see else.
