Question:
So I am having a connection issue with my controller. The blue tooth connection has worked fine for a year. I have the 12v on pin 1. I have the blue blinking light but cannot see the device on my phone. I d the app and started over but still no device. I’ve tried it with the trailer connected and with out. Also my phone will not see the device even though I have not paired with it before. Any suggestions?

This is a common problem and it has to do with how you are currently connected to the Echo. You need go into your settings on your phone and make sure you disconnect the Bluetooth from the Curt Echo item # C51180. Then go to the Curt app and pair the brake controller. If you do not disconnect the Bluetooth from the Echo in your settings it will not allow you to pair on the app. You want to connect through the app not your phone settings. If you can't get into the settings through your phone try to pair it with another device and follow the original set up instructions.
