Question:
Ok, in the initial beginning, Worked fine and paired fine and braked fine. Now, it doesnt. I have the app on the phone, paired it, punched in the number, controller in the 7 way plug is solid green, but on the app, there is no interface to make adjustments, etc. But the brake controller is still solid green. The big round orange circle is not displaying for me to do anything. The app does say try to re-connect, even though it displays a solid green on the controller. Next question, Im not happy to use my phone to control my trailer brake. since I do have power going to the plug, the 7 way bargman plug: 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 12 Gauge Wires Item # ETBC7L. I purchased the echo along with it. Id rather use :Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller w/ Bluetooth - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional Item # TK94FR. Its wireless of course, but since I now have power to the plug, this controller should work right?

It sounds like there might be some pairing issues caused by your phone's Bluetooth connection. I would start by making sure that the Bluetooth connection on your phone is turned off and that the Curt Echo # C51180 hasn't accidentally paired with your phone; if it has, you'll want to unpair/disconnect it using the phone. You may also want to delete the app and re-download it to see if that helps.
With that said, you are able to use the # ETBC7L you've previously installed with the Tekonsha Prodigy RF # TK94FR brake controller, since it does not rely on the stop light switch of the vehicle.
