Question:

Please recommend a unit that fits a 22 in. wide and 16 in. high opening. Surely Furrion or Coutoure has something in a smaller size.

For a great replacement convection/microwave oven, I recommend the Furrion Over the Range RV Convection Microwave - 1,500 Watts - 1.5 Cu Ft # FMCM15SS. This microwave provides you with 900 watts of microwave power and 1,450 watts of convection power. A great feature of this model is that it comes with a removable metal shelf that gives you 2 levels of space for convection and combination cooking. As far as installation, it comes with all included hardware with mounting templates. It requires a 30 inch cutout to mount. I went ahead and attached a review video that outlines some of the features of the # FMCM15SS.

While we do have a microwave that is small enough to fit your 22 inch wide x 16 inch high opening, we do not carry any units that have a convection option that fits. For this route, it is the Furrion Standard RV Microwave - 1,350 Watts # FMSN09BL. With this microwave, it requires a cutout that is 20-1/4" wide x 13-7/8" tall x 14-5/8" deep. I recommend making sure that your cutout has the 14-5/8 inches of depth required to install this unit.
