Replacement Vent Motor for an Older Fan-Tastic Vent with 8 RPM Motor

Question:

I have a 2004 National Dolphin class A motor home. It has a Fan-Tastic vent fan, housing to the motor is broken motor doesnt seem to be working. I pulled the part and it is made by Autotrol Corp, numbers on part are 200-0487 and below that 12VDC. On the other side the numbers are 8RPM and below that the numbers 293. According to the owners manual and panel for the fan it indicates it will work automatically or manually. I saw the notes on the 17RPM motor saying it will work but you have to cross wires. Just want to be sure I get the correct part. Thanks for your help.

I could not locate that specific motor number for anything that we have. If you can provide me with the model number of the fan that you have, that would help me ensure that you get the correct replacement motor.

However, the Replacement 17-rpm Lift Motor for Fan-Tastic Vent B Series Roof Vents # FVK6010-81 is designed for use in Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents with 17-rpm motors made in 2014 or later. This will still fit older RV models and also replace lower rpm motors. For older models, you will need to cross the wires. For instance, instead of red to red and black to black, you will need to connect the red wire to the black wire and the black wire to the red wire like you noted.
