These Talon tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame using pre-existing holes, so there’s little to no drilling and no need for modifications. The brackets fit tight to the frame, keeping ground clearance high so you’re less likely to scrape when driving uneven roads. Because they’re custom-fit, the tie-downs create a solid connection between your truck and camper that feels factory-installed and secure from the start.
For long hauls or rough terrain, frame-mounted tie-downs are the most secure way to keep your camper steady. The Talon system spreads the camper’s weight evenly across the truck frame and lowers the center of gravity. That means better handling and less sway from wind or passing vehicles. Your camper won’t shift or bounce, giving you a safer, more comfortable ride mile after mile.
Built from rustproof aluminum for the arms and stainless steel for the receiver brackets, these tie-downs are tough but light. The high-impact powder coat adds another layer of protection from road salt, mud, and moisture. Even after years of use, the metal resists corrosion so you can rely on a solid connection every time you hit the road.
When you’re not hauling your camper, just remove the tie-down arms. The remaining brackets sit nearly flush with the underside of the truck, staying out of sight and preserving your clean look. You’ll hardly notice they’re there until it’s time to load up again.
Each arm has two pin holes so you can extend it just far enough for turnbuckle clearance without touching your truck body. Two different anchor holes on the attachment plate let you fine-tune how your turnbuckles line up with your camper’s anchors. It’s simple to get a snug fit that keeps your camper held from multiple angles and locked in place while you drive.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we are going to take a look at these TorkLift Talon, custom fit, frame-mounted, aluminum, rear camper tie-downs. Now, these tie-downs are going to fit a variety of Ford, GMC, and Chevrolet trucks. To see if these are going to fit your truck, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Insert the year and make and model of your vehicle and answer some of the follow-up questions and our fit guide will let you know if these rear camper tie-downs will fit your truck. These custom tie-downs provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing a bed-mounted camper. The front tie-downs are sold separately and to find those, again, you would use our vehicle fit guide and our vehicle fit guide will let you know what front tie-downs will work for your truck.
These brackets fit tight to your truck's frame with no loss of ground clearance, and the frame-mounted design ensures excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed, it better distributes the weight to keep your setup from being too top-heavy. Now, these are gonna be virtually undetectable when they're not in use, and so I'm just gonna go ahead and remove one of these bail pins here that are included with your tie-downs just to show you how easy these inserts can be removed. So, the inserts are aluminum so they're very lightweight but also very rugged and durable. And so, once you remove the insert, there are these caps that are included that you can just pop over the receiver here on the bracket and that's going to keep debris, junk out of there. So, it'll be nice and clean but it'll also give it a nice finished look.
And so, as you can see, when you remove the insert the bracket is going to be virtually undetectable as it's there mounted underneath the rear of your truck bed. So I'm just gonna go ahead and remove the cap and I did want to mention that there are two holes on these inserts and the hole that is the farthest out, right here, you would use that hole for wider campers and if your camper is a little bit narrower, then you can bring the insert in more in the receiver and use this hole that is closer to the front of the insert and that is the hole I'm gonna be using right now and that is going to bring that insert in more for your narrower truck beds or your truck bed campers rather. So I'm just lining up my holes here and then I'm just going to reattach the pin and we are good to go. Now, these are made in the USA and as I mentioned before, the tie-downs are constructed of rustproof and lightweight aluminum alloy that are going to secure to these stainless steel receiver brackets and a high-impact powder coat finish is going to add an extra layer of protection to the brackets and the inserts. So you are gonna receive two rear tie-down inserts, the frame brackets, and the necessary hardware along with the instructions and the caps that we talked about previously.
And these do carry a lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

Sorry to hear that, Steve. I can't say I have heard of someone having to grind down the arms so they fit into brackets, so I'm surprised you had to. Was it more than just a build up of powder coat/paint? I will be contacting TorkLift so they will definitely be made aware.
