What would be the best hitch for carrying a bike rack on my 2022 Subaru Ascent?

There are two basic types of hitches available for the 2022 Subaru Ascent. The standard and the concealed mount. The standard mount such as part # C13400 would install so that the receiver tube sits below the underside of the bumper fascia. This reduces the vehicle's ground clearance, but is typically easier to install.

The more concealed option, such as the etrailer brand # e55ZR would install so it sits behind the bumper fascia, more like a factory installed hitch. The receiver tube would be accessed through the removable panel in the face of the bumper fascia which can be replaced when the hitch isn't in use. This makes for a better appearance and provides much more ground clearance, but the installation would be more involved.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the more concealed # e55ZR.
