Question:
What trailer hitch would you recommend for a 2012 Chevy Colorado W/T with the 2.9L motor.

Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75607 hands down for your 2012 Chevy Colorado. I like this option over the Curt # 13252 because it has a hidden crosstube which not only looks better, but it also means you'll have better ground clearance.
Attached is an installation video as well as a photo showing what it will look like once installed.
Typically when a trailer hitch is installed on a pickup it will be used for towing. If this is what you're planning on doing and you don't already have everything that you need then I recommend installing the T-One # 118301 for basic trailer lighting and then adding the Wiring Kit # ETBC7 if you need a fully functioning 7-Way. Then for a ball mount kit I recommend checking out the B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10037B because it is a high quality option (backed by a limited lifetime warranty) that can be used to tow a wide variety of trailers. Adding a single locking hitch pin like part # e98882 will secure this ball mount to your trailer hitch.
