Great delivery service. Came just as promised. Installation pending on delivery of my truck. Font know about the wiring.

by:

Great fitment, included directions easy install, fast shipping from the good guys at e trailer, another satisfied customer

by:

Hitch arrived as stated, and in perfect condition. I installed hitches for U-Haul Hitch World years ago, and know a good product. I always recommend Curt products. (or Draw-tite if Curt not available.

by:

Solid hitch, very durable and secure. Easy installation.

by:

the six bolt locations matched the 2011 chevy colorado very well. two of the vertical bolt locations did not need the supplied bolt/lug/nut. at these two locations chevy has a welded in barrel nut, so i reused the OEM bolt when installing the hitch.

Very easy to install, very heavy duty, perfect

Perfectly, no issues, hitch still looks like new

by:

I highly recommend doing business with etrailer, I ordered this product on a Thursday, received it the following Monday, even on a holiday weekend. like I said shipping was fast, and customer service was top notch, great job!

by:

Installation was very difficult, probably because I was installing a new hitch on an 18 year old truck. The only problem I encountered that could be remotely attributed to the hitch was that the supplied shims did not fit and I had to improvise to make up the clearance between the hitch and the frame.

by:

Looks and fits great. Installation was easy enough, that this 61year old man could install it without help.

Works great. Save yourself some money, install it yourself.

by:

Installing this trailer hitch was simple, and pretty easy. The installation video helped immensely!

by:

The hitch is amazing. However, the packaging was shoddy and the hitch was simply placed in a box with no additional protection. The hitch arrived very quickly after placing the order, however, part of the hitch was sticking through the box when it arrived and had several scratches from transit. All of that aside, make sure you watch a few [online] video tutorials, especially when it comes to the fishwire portion of the install. I was able to the get the carriage bolt into the access port without enlarging the hole by placing the bolt backwards into the access slot and tapping it in with a mallet. When the install was completed, it looked very clean and definitely feels sturdy.

by:

Quality is there, however on my 2009 truck I had to deviate from the instructions because the carriage bolts would not fit through the access holes so I had to remove the bumper to fish them through. I also had to use two of the original bolts on the bottom as the bumper actually had a welded barrel nut where the carriage bolt should have gone. Overall took about 30 mins because of the faffing. The harness that goes with this took another 5 mins. The hitch looks pretty bullet proof once fitted.

by:

The hitch fit perfectly and the light kit harness is a 5 minute install. The drawbar is longer than normal which I like alot. A no Brainer, great products.

by:

Instructions & installation on my Chevy Colorado was painless. I have always used Reese hitches in years past & had to pay the extra cost of installation - I did it myself & am very satisfied!

by:

Works well

by:

I had the install from hell because of being a novice and a bolt already on the truck was cross-threaded, didn't know this but it was hell to get out. After learning what taps even are and tapping the bolt hole everying is fine. I was doing the fishwire really wrong so i'd recommend anyone lookup videos of this and then it shouldn't be too hard.

I think the hitch is good though.

by:

Solid, outstanding-the only negative was fishing the bolt through the frame. SUGGESTION: try a few times, don’t get frustrated, take breaks and come back if you are unsuccessful at first. Just purchased 4-bike rack too! Outstanding customer service and great videos!!! This is my go to company for anything like this!

by:

I got the hitch. Quick delivery!
I
have not started installing it but it looks like it is going to work. Thanks!

by:

You guys are the best! Fits like a glove

by:

I purchased a Curt hitch along with a harness for lights and turn signal for my 2011 Chevy Colorado. Everything was a perfect fit with installation time of 45 minutes or so. I would definitely recommend this product.

by:

This hitch was easy to install. Great product as shown. Video on line showed exactly how to install. It shows to remove the two rear bumper bolts. But to get the two new front bolts installed, I also had to loosen the front bolt for the rear bumper. Other than that, this is my second hitch from etrailer and I would not hesitate to buy again.
Thanks.

by:

The installation was simple and fast. I review the video that was provided, then just followed it. Putting the extra bolt through the frame and using the provided spacer and fish wire made the installation easy. I got some help from a neighbor to hold one end while I bolted up one end and then finished off the other side. The video made this installation very easy and quick. I took me about an hour (that included getting a neighbor to help).

by:

Directions were wrong on which bolt to remove and replace with new bolt. The metal spacer blocks were about 1/8 in to big, I had to use some washers. The metal blocks that the carriage bolts fit into that go inside the frame were too long, I had to cut them down about 1/4 in on both. The ends of the hitch are really bulky and show from side of truck. I actually had to cut my exhaust tip off to get the hitch into place. Wish I would have went with a different brand.

I recommend watching the video installation that we have on a 2004 GMC Canyon. We do not recommend modifying the hardware that comes with the hitch.

by:

2008 Colorado LT 4x4. Fit great. Very easy install. Some of the bracket pieces were slightly too small so the bolts wouldn’t fit, I just had to make the hole slightly bigger. Besides that. Perfect I uploaded a bad picture because it got dark out. Also put a few stickers on it it already hahah happy customer

  • Is There a Class II Hitch For 2008 Chevy Colorado
Hello Michael, There is not a Class II hitch for your 2008 Chevy Colorado; the only available hitches are the Class IV Draw-Tite Trailer hitch # 75607 and the Class III Curt Trailer Hitch # 13252. If you wanted a Class II, 1-1/4" receiver because you had an accessory like a bike rack with that size shank you can use a 2" to 1-1/4" adapter, the Trailer Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63YR.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Chevy Colordao
I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75607 hands down for your 2012 Chevy Colorado. I like this option over the Curt # 13252 because it has a hidden crosstube which not only looks better, but it also means you'll have better ground clearance. Attached is an installation video as well as a photo showing what it will look like once installed. Typically when a trailer hitch is installed on a pickup it will be used for towing. • Recommended Parts to Tow a Trailer with a 2004 Chevy Colorado Z71
I'd be more than happy to help you get everything needed for your husband's 2004 Chevy Colorado Z71 so he can use it for the repair business! The basics that he will need include a hitch receiver, wiring for the trailer lights, and a ball mount setup. Additional wiring and a brake controller can be necessary if he has a bigger trailer, but if he is only picking up appliances 1 at a time then he probably has a smaller trailer and the brake controller isn't needed. • How are the Bolts Installed on Boxed Frame to Install a Curt Hitch on a 2005 Chevy Colorado
There is a technique used to access hard reach bolt holes called fishwiring. Its basically attaching a carriage bolt and spacer to a wire and then fishing it through an access hole in the frame. I attached a video on this technique that shows you exactly what I am talking about. I also attached a video of a very similar hitch as the Curt Trailer Hitch # 13252 that you referenced on a similar Colorado as yours. The fishwire is included with this hitch also.

  • Where is this Draw-Tite 75607 made?
The Draw-Tite # 75607 is made in Mexico. If you are looking for a hitch that will fit your 2007 Chevy Colorado that is made in the US, you will want to go with the Curt # 13252. This is rated a little lower than the # 75607, but will still handle up to 4,000 pounds towing and 400 pounds of tongue weight.
