Bolts Wont Thread On etrailer Hitch for 2013 Toyota RAV4

Question:

I have read all of the information regarding the flex issues with the hitch and obviously that is a problem with the hitch I purchased, will try to make it work. But I also have an issue with two of the bolts sent not threading, they seem to large. I have cleaned the bolt holes and again, two fit but 2 do not. I received an email to leave a review but before doing so, I wanted to reach out and get some assistance.

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98864 which is a fit for a 2013 Toyota RAV4 comes with M12-1.25x35mm hex bolts. These will match up with the weld nuts in the frame. If the vehicle is older, the chances of the weld nuts being dirty is high. They can usually be cleaned out with a wire brush and lube but sometimes they require tapping with a thread tap. The vehicle uses four of the same size bolts so I don't think you got the wrong size.

Unfortunately, hitches get bent during shipping and it's not impossible for them to be welded incorrectly either. These can usually be fixed by some slight bending it but we can get an exchange as well if it's too severe.
