Trailer Hitch Receiver with the Most Ground Clearance on a 2017 Toyota RAV4

Do you have the clearance measurement for the 75235 unit?

I compared ground clearance measurements for all of the 2" trailer hitch receivers we have for your 2017 Toyota RAV4 and found that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13406 has a great clearance from the ground to the top of the hitch receiver tube opening.

When we tested this trailer hitch on a similar 2017 Toyota RAV4, we found that the distance from the ground to the top of the hitch receiver tube opening was about 15". Please, please keep in mind that 2017 Toyota RAV4 we tested this hitch on was not a Hybrid model therefore, the exact distance may vary from non-hybrid to hybrid models.

If you can tell me a bit more about what you will be using the trailer hitch for, I would be glad to offer additional recommendations for you. I have attached an installation video of this hitch installed on a similar 2015 RAV4 for reference.

Primarily I plan to use it for a carry all, but may need to pull a small trailer, like a 5x8 size small lightweight unit. I read the tow capacity is #1750, so felt as long as I kept the weight minimal it would be fine. So I wanted to find one with the highest point from the ground, so when i drive over an incline I would be less likely to drag. I thought the clearance for rav4 was around 7inch how are you getting 14?

The above 14-1/2" measurement was calculated by measuring from the ground to the top of the trailer hitch receiver tube opening on a non-hybrid 2015 Toyota RAV4. As previously stated, this measurement may not be exact for your 2017 Toyota RAV4 as the different year and submodel may play a role in height. I have attached a photo of this measurement for you as well.

As you can see in the attached video, when we installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75235 on a 2017 Toyota RAV 4 we found that the distance from the ground to the top of the receiver tube opening is about 13".
