We are planning to tow our new 30foot travel trailer that has a gross weight of 8000 and a 1000 lb tongue weight. Im trying to decide between the different rear helper spring types. We will be using a WD hitch and I dont want a rough ride empty. Do you have any suggestions between the Sumo and the Timbren and what load capacity would be best? thank yoju

I would be happy to help you set up your 2021 Ram 2500 for a smoother ride. I recommend the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs - 2 Piece - Rear Axle item # SS27GR. These will be a better addition to your truck than the Timbren system item # TDR2500D you referenced. These Rebel SumoSprings are a 2-piece spring that connects at top and bottom and provides unlimited suspension travel and movement for a smooth, comfortable ride. The SumoSprings have a load leveling capacity of 5000 lbs to support your rear suspension when towing your 8,000 lbs 30 ft travel trailer. The Timbren is a hollow piece of rubber that will limit your suspension travel and cause you to have a rough ride when not towing your trailer.
