Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this PowerMax AC to DC lower replacement converter tray with built-in battery charger. Now the easiest way to think of this is as part of an RV's power center that's going to turn your T ground 110 bolt AC power into 12 volt DC power for your RV. So it can actually use that power to power things like your lights, fans, pumps, and electronics. But at the same time, this is also going to work as a smart battery charger, keeping your RVs 12 volt battery healthy. Now this model puts out 65 amps, which is going to be plenty of power for most mid-size RVs.
And one of the big selling points is that it has built in three stage smart charging and it charges the battery quickly. When it's low, it tops it off efficiently and then automatically switches to a maintenance mode so it doesn't overcharge, that's gonna help extend the life of your battery. And this also works with lead acid, AGM, and even lithium battery. So it's gonna be very flexible. Another thing that many like about this unit is that it is designed as a direct replacement as you see there on your screen for the lower section of any WFCO 8,900 series MBA and other brands of lower tray converters.
So if your converter has failed or if you're upgrading to an older unit, this tray can slide right in without rewiring the entire system. But this also has built-in protection features like reverse polarity overload and overheating feature safeguards. So it's designed to be reliable and safe over the long term. So this is gonna be a dependable, modern converter charger that's going to replace the lower tray in your RV's power center. It's gonna give you clean 12 volt power and it's gonna charge your battery intelligently and it's gonna work with multiple battery types, again, including lithium.

The barcode sent with the converter is the wrong model with incorrect locations for setting the voltage and whether you want manual or automatic operation. I suggest setting the voltage for a Lifepo4 battery on a bench because it doesn't just go to 14.6 volts instantly. It gradually goes up as it's charging. I monitored the voltage until it started going above 14.6 then backed off slowly. It was a direct bolt in upgrade and wire in for my RV.
