Will SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs Reduce 2019 Ram 2500 Rear Sag While Towing

Updated 10/22/2025 | Published 04/03/2025

Question:

I have a 2019 Ram 2500 4wd 6.4 truck. It appears the previous owner added a 2.5inch level block above front coils to level the truck. Rear is stock. Considering removing level but was also curious if the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs would alleviate the rear sag when trailering? s about 1-1.5inch with trailer and load in bed. Thank you

Hey John! The SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SS27GR will definitely help with the rear sag on your 2019 Ram 2500. However, I wouldn't expect to see a large difference with only 1" - 1-1/2" of sag in the rear. The SumoSprings do have a small gap so they aren't always engaged (this helps keep the impact on ride quality minimal).

I have no doubt that they will improve your ride quality while towing so it is definitely worth the upgrade I just don't want you thinking you slap these on and the rear won't move at all when you hook up. If suspension enhancement worked that way you would hate the unloaded ride quality.

Hey John, how did things turn out after adding the SumoSprings Rebel helper springs to your Ram 2500? Did they help reduce that 1 to 1-1/2 inch of rear sag when towing? Your update could make it easier for others looking to smooth out their ride under load.
