Towing or hauling heavy gear can make your rear end sag and your steering feel light. These SumoSprings Rebel helper springs add up to 3,000 lbs of support at 50-percent compression so your ride stays level and steady. They help your factory suspension handle extra weight, keeping traction and braking solid when the load is on.

The two-piece spring setup connects at the top and bottom when loaded but separates when the truck is empty. That means you get full suspension travel and a smoother, more comfortable ride on rough pavement or off-road without the stiffness that solid bump stops can cause.

Each spring works on its own side of the vehicle to even out off-center loads and reduce body roll through turns. Whether it’s a gust of wind, a curve, or a steep driveway, you’ll feel steadier control with less sway or porpoising front to back.
These maintenance-free springs are made from microcellular urethane that resists oils, road salts, and UV rays. They hold up in conditions from -25 F to 200 F and expand vertically instead of sideways so they won’t get damaged in tight spaces. No air lines or pressure to manage—just bolt them on and go.

Awesome ride feel. Easy installation all accept for one bolt that is almost impossible to get tight even with multiple wrench angles. Overall with instructions provided it was a fairly easy install.
The sumo shocks arrived faster than was told. Fantastic products and great customer service! Nicole who took my order was great! Thanks again Nicole you are exceptional in the customer service dept. at Etrailer. Second time ordering from them out standing company and great employees, You Rock!!!!!
Install was easy and loaded ride is improved.
Unloaded ride is terrible. It's so stiff that I'll likely remove and purchase a different product. I called Sumo Spring twice and was not able to reach anyone. I also left a message (2 days ago) and no one returned the call. I was calling for advice or return. The 30 day money back guarantee is useless when you can't reach the manufacturer.
Just put these on our 2014 F350. We have a 40’ fifth wheel and on a 400 mile trip. So far so good!
Install was easy. Took about 2 hours start thru cleanup.
Adding a pair of SumoSprings to the rear axle of our 2015 F250 did little to help level the vehicle when hauling 500 to a 1000 lbs of feed or other materials. When pulling a bumper pull tandam trailer with a UTV, tractor, etc.,these springs did not hold the pickup level. We have since replace the leaf springs with OEM parts and all is better. The SumoSprings is a very good idea however did not solve our concern and probably should have saved the cost and replace the leaf springs first. Please note that this F250 does not have a goose neck hitch and it is rare to be overloaded. We use a one ton for those loads. Thanks.
The truck is very bouncy now unloaded. I think the money is better spent on air bags.
Very easy install and product worked great. Helped most with leveling my truck while loaded with my camper. Body roll was still there but these definitely reduced it. Would definitely recommend this product.
The installation went very well. The ride seemed smooth.
nice improvement when 5th wheel is hooked up. maybe half inch ride height improvement. bumps and potholes are dampened nicely, not eliminated but not harsh and smoothed as should be.
I haven't had the springs under load, yet. I'm sure they'll perform as expected. I was not able to adjust the driver's side springs so that they align correctly. (see pic). The bottom spring does go into the top spring, but it's off enough that over time it will be an issue. Passenger side is spot-on! I have a 2024 F350 Tremor
took about 2 1/2 hours to put them on. Love them!! Trailer sits level and truck still has it's proper angle to the road!
With the new Sumo Springs my Sprinter is an amazing highway cruiser. Drives like a dream! It's a little rough on potholes, but overall a great purchase.
Ride is great unloaded. They don’t touch until you load the truck with a little weight. On a light trailer 16ft or 20ft car hauler they just touch. The ride may be a little stiffer in the rear since there isn’t much weight to keep them down or the bounce down. But it’s not bad at all. Hauling a heavy load where they get compressed the load is much more stable and the truck hauls the heavy loads MUCH better. Cheaper than air ride. No lines to run. No worry to inflate or deflate. I give them 10/10. Very nice product. If you run light loads more than heavy I would go with the blue or yellow versions. I have the 5k sumos on a 2018 Ram 3500 4x4
100% satisfied.
Still too new for me to review how the product works, but in terms of installation, I had a lot of issues with installation on my 2015 Ford F150. Everything I saw made it sound easy for self install by one person, but was pretty tough self install for me. I'm not an expert on vehicles, but generally pretty handy and I had trouble doing it by myself and took at lot of time.
Difficult parts were attaching the upper mounting bracket to the frame, and getting the bolt through a washer and into a mounting piece that I had to insert into the frame
Couple of notes. My truck is a 4x4 and the instructions said to mount the upper bracket in the bottom holes for 4x4's, but that was not possible as it wouldn't fit. After talking to manufacturer, they said it was ok to mount in the the upper holes that was supposed to be for 2wd models.
The instructions don't mention using lock tight on all nuts, but I had one the the sides come off and lost some pieces. After getting a warranty replacement, the manufacturer said to use lock tight, even though it wasn't noted on instructions man. They said in newer instructions, it adds that, but that wasn't included in the product I received
Hoping I will like the ride when I connect and use on my trailer and will reserve judgement till then
I wish I would have put on an air ride system instead. When I put my light (1750lb.)truck camper on my F250 truck, the back of the truck saggs. Not happy! I am sure the product is okay, just not what I wanted.
It’s a fantastic product and shipping was right on time. Thank you so much etrailer.
Just Installed my Sumo Rear Springs. They went in real easy on my Dodge Ram 3500. The thing that took the most time on the install was jacking up the frame 3-4" to make enough space between the axle base and top of frame to slip in the entire lower and top sections of the Sumo Springs. Once I did that, I narrowed that space by letting the frame down a little but not all the way. Just enough to catch the receiving spring and leaving a half inch gap between the two sections. This allowed me to easily rachet the bottom u-clap without a problem and keep good alighment. I know I'm going to love this product once I hitch up. No more 2' drop in the rear end once hooking up to my 15k 5th wheel. These springs are stout but no so stout I'll beat the hell out of my body when hunting the rutted roads of the great North West. Thank you Jessie for your expertise and steering me toward the perfect application to meet my pulling and off-road needs.
I put a small leveling kit in my 2500hd Silverado. I noticed afterwards towing my excavator or dump trailer I was getting some rear sag when I had my trailers loaded heavy. I considered doing air bags for the rear. Instead I installed the sumo springs. I installed them in about an hour. Very happy with them. No noticeable difference in ride quality while empty. And they keep my truck level when I’m hauling my trailers. 5 stars!
Product works very well. Only problem we had was an alignment problem on the drivers side spring. Couldn't get it completely centered top to bottom, but was close enough to still fit together.
I installed on 24 Silverado 2500hd. Install went great. They work well when towing. I haul a 32’ bumper pull camper. They help reduce the sag dramatically. When not hauling, the truck rides rougher than without them installed. That makes sense and I am happy with them. I may have went with a bit less stiffness now that I know.
Easy install. Work with truck camper gr eat.
Install was easy. Just need a Jack and Jack stands. A few wrenches. Don’t bother taking the wheels off. No trouble installing with them on. Performance was noticeable. Less bounce when towing 5th wheel trailer. Without load… same as stock as the two piece design doesn’t touch without a load. Excellent!
