Is it Normal for the Red Light on the Hopkins Insight Brake Controller to Stay Lit?
Updated 09/07/2021 | Published 09/04/2021 >
Question:
I installed a Hopkins Plug-In Simple Brake Control Insight into my 2010 Ford King Ranch F250. When I finished the installation, I noticed that the red light in the brake controller was lit and there no key in the ignition and it has been lit for over 5 hours. I figured it would go out am I wrong in believing that. Will it drain my batteries.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since you have the Hopkins Insight Brake Controller, I confirmed with Hopkins that the red light staying on is completely normal. I also confirmed with Hopkins that the red light will not drain your 2010 Ford F-250's battery to the point where you will need to replace it.
