Question:
Hi. I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the factory tow package. I would like to add a brake controller since my camper has electric brakes. What would you suggest? Also, since the Jepp has the 4 and 7 pin connections at the hitch do you know if the wiring is already there for the brake controller under the dash for a simple install? Any help appreciated. Thanks. David

Hey David, we can help with a brake controller install in your 2006 Jeep Wrangler that has a factory 7-way but your Jeep does not have brake controller pre-wiring so you would need to hardwire in the controller with a kit like the part # 5506 and a brake controller like the P2 part # 90885.
Do you have a brake controller picked out already?

Hi Jameson. Thank you for the clarification. I have not picked out a brake controller but was thinking about a Redarc but open to recommendations. So would I rewire all 7 wires or just use a couple of the wires from the #5506 wiring kit? Thanks. David
