Question:

Yes, wanted to see what hitch would yall would recommend to fit my 2026 Nissan Rogue Dark Armor edition, And the wiring kit for it, and also will the hitch it self interfere with the back up sensors and automatic braking? I know I have back up sensors on back of vehicle, just wondering if hitch is gonna stick out to far to and interfere with it thanks Eric

Hey Eric, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do have a hitch and wiring that will fit your 2026 Nissan Rogue dark armor edition. Here is what I recommend:

These will fit all models of the 2026 Rogue, and that includes the dark armor model.

That said, the hitch does have the potential to interfere with the rear automatic braking system and may cause the brakes to engage while you are backing up. It is recommended to go into your settings and disable the RAB system to avoid any issues.

What will you be using the hitch for? Bikes, a cargo tray, or a small trailer?

@EricM Nice! That setup will work perfectly for hauling a small trailer. Just grab you a ball mount and you'll be good to go. The etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # e66PR is what I recommend for that.

I purchased this setup from etrailer for my Niseen Rouge and it was almost 1/2 the price that a local trailer company wanted for theirs. I was 70 years old and could not install it but gave my next door neighbor $100 to put it on. He did it in about 30-40 minutes (with no experience) and I still saved money even after I paid him. YES, it does engage the automatic braking when I back up but it is a larger trailer - a small trailer may not. The local Nissen dealer told me to go into the settings and stop that feature. I do, anytime I connect my trailer now. Works great!!! I can HIGHLY reccommend etrailer.

I have this hitch that the site suggested i installed on my 2021 rogue was superb in every way. Very easy install in about 20 minutes in my driveway. We are active in our advetures and diy projects and the hitch works very well.

Eric, As Jesse and other posters stated, this is a good choice and easy installation. The biggest part of the installation is the removal of the interior components to install the wiring, which is actually quite simple to do. I installed the rack to be used with a bike rack. When the bikes are on it the automatic backup sensors detect the bike and automatically brake the car. You have to disable it every time, which is a nuisance but the price of safety. This is an easy project to do if you're the least bit handy and have the few tools required to do it. I recommend a torque wrench to be sure the bolts are torqued to the correct settings.

Best trailer hitch I ever bought the easiest thing to install works great we told a carrier on the back on all our trip. It’s superb. I highly recommend..
