Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2017 Subaru Impreza Sedan

Question:
Thanks, that is helpful. I'm trying to attach a cargo carrier for 2" trailer hitches to the hitch , And probably carry 100-150 lbs of gear at most. I was a little worried that the hitch you sent only has a tongue weight of 200lbs - the cargo basket itself is 70lbs. With that and some gear would be very close to the 200lbs max tongue weight. Would that hitch be sufficient, to hold this basket and gear? Also, what type of adapter would I need to convert the 1 1/4 to 2 in receiver?

I have a different option for you, but the EcoHitch # 306-X7350 you were looking at is only confirmed to fit the Hatchback models of the Subaru Impreza, and I was unable to find any pictures of it installed on a sedan.
For your 2017 Subaru Impreza Sedan I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11466 as it is a quality hitch made right here in the USA, but it does have a 1-1/4" shank. There is not a trailer hitch receiver with a 2" shank confirmed to fit your vehicle.
This hitch has a 200lb tongue weight rating and 2000lb trailer weight rating making it a perfect option for a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even a ball mount for light duty towing.
If you can tell me what you are planning on using the trailer hitch receiver for I would be happy to recommend the best products for your needs.
I included a link to the written instructions of the # C11466 for you to take a look at.
