Bent Trailer Hitch Installation Troubleshooting

I recently bought a high for a 2024 RAV4. The hitch appears to be 1/4in too small. Do you have a recommendation for how to fix the issue? I have bought 3 hitches from e-trailer and this is the first time I have had any problems. Is it normal to have to bend the steel to make it fit the frame? Thanks for your assistance. - Mike

It is fairly common for this to happen, so don't worry! Sometimes the hitch can get bent or slightly warped during shipment, and it's not usually a cause for concern. I attached one of our help articles on this very topic which should help you get it straightened out and installed correctly. If you for some reason still can't get it installed, let me know and we can escalate the situation.

Sometimes hitches can get slightly bent during shipping and this can be fixed by bending the hitch back into place as long as the hitch only has a slight bend to it. If yours isn't lining up I can almost guarantee that is what happened. Some…
