You are correct that if your 2018 Ram 2500 has the factory tow hooks, they will need to be removed to install the EcoHitch Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7900 but they will not be able to be reinstalled.

With that said the # 306-X7900 has built in tow hooks as shown in the included picture to replace the factory tow hooks, as the hitch takes up the space that the tow hooks were installed.
