Troubleshooting Installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2021 Prius Prime

Question:
This says it’s a confirmed fit for the 2021 Prius prime. Unfortunately, the bumper fascia will not chip in flush with the hitch installed. Any help? Something specific to the Prime?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11473 is confirmed to fit your 2021 Toyota Prius Prime. I spoke with Curt and they verified that this hitch will fit the Prius Prime. They said to make sure the tabs on the end of the bumper beam assembly are flattened so they are flush as stated in the manual. I would recommend reviewing the installation instructions to ensure that everything else is correctly in place.
I have attached a picture of this hitch installed on a customers 2021 Prius Prime as well as an installation video for your reference.
