Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Toyota Prius Prime

Question:

Looking for a hitch and bike rack for my 2017 Toyota Prius Prime. Will the Curt C11473 and the Thule TH9035XTS work on my prime without using an extender? I am concerned that this hitch will mount too far behind the bumper and require an extender. And I dont want to get it if that is the case. Thanks

Let's first start with the hitch for your 2017 Toyota Prius Prime. For that the best option is the Draw Tite part # 24966 for two reasons. One being that it doesn't require a stabilizer strap when carrying a bike rack like the Curt does and the other being the much better price.

With that installed the Saris Freedom EX # SA4025F would fit and work well. It would easily clear the bumper and carry your bikes. I attached a review video of this rack on a similar Prius as well.
