Comparing the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 and Saris SuperClamp EX 2

Question:

Kuat Sherpa 2.0 and Saris SuperClamp EX 2 I know that both will work well with my bikes w/o fenders, but I do have two bikes with front and rear fenders and racks. When transporting the fendered bikes, will the arms go to a vertical position and be high enough to clamp down on the top tube with padding to hold the bikes if necessary? Also, does Kuat sell an accessory strap to hold the front tire so there are three points of contact rather than two? Yes, I could get a long piece of Velcro, but that isnt as sturdy as the OEM straps that come with the racks. Thank you.

The Kuat Sherpa 2.0, part # SH22G, and the Saris SuperClamp EX 2, part # SA4025F, are both wheel-mounted bike racks. However, the more robust design of the SuperClamp's wheel cradles (front and rear) along with their straps WILL allow the rack to work with bikes with fenders as confirmed by Saris. The wheel hooks will contact the front and rear tire just below where it meets the fender (see photos).
