The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR you were looking at is a great option for your 2007 Toyota 4Runner as long as the trailer you plan on towing does not have more than 2 braking axles. If your trailer has more than 2 braking axles you will need the # RED44FR instead as it is compatible with up to 3 braking axles.
This controller is nice due to it having only a knob visible, instead of an entire controller that you hit your knees on when getting in and moving around.
To mount the # RED24FR you will want to mounting panel # 331-TPSI-007 which will replace one of the blank switch panels in your 4Runner.
If your 4Runner has the factory 7-way trailer connector you will need the # 3040-P and # 331-TPH-017 which will plug into the factory trailer brake controller port underneath the dash of your vehicle, and will get connect directly into the # RED24FR.
If your 4Runner does not have the factory 7-way connector you will need to add one starting with the # 119178KIT, and then installing the # ETBC7.
Once those are installed you will need the # RED69FR and make the following connections:
Black wire to battery with 30 amp circuit breaker included with # ETBC7
White wire to ground
Blue wire to blue wire of # ETBC7
Red wire to cold side of stop light switch that only has power when brake pedal is pressed. Using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 will allow you to find the correct wire to connect to.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
