Recommended Replacement for Dutton-Lainson Jack on New Shorelander Boat Trailer

Updated 04/29/2021 | Published 04/27/2021

Question:

I would like to replace cheaper existing jack with a Fulton F2 jack. Please see pics. Can the existing interface work with this jack? What additional hardware is suggested?

Dutton-Lainson jacks are manufactured right here in the US and are actually really good quality.

The mount used by your current Dutton-Lainson jack wouldn't be compatible with the Fulton F2, which leaves you with a couple of options.

You could upgrade your current 1000 lb jack to a 1500 lb capacity Dutton-Lainson model like part # DL22580, which would allow you to utilize your current mount. The jack provides dual wheels for greater maneuverability and stability.

You could also use the bolt-on version of the Fulton F2, part # F1413130334 which is compatible with 3 x 5 trailer frames such as yours. You'd need to remove the exiting jack and mount and relocate the jack from the side of the winch stand.

Either jack mentioned above includes the necessary mounting hardware.
